My deepest condolences to Mike’s family. I was friends with Mike in junior high school. We often walked to school together in the morning, and on occasion played basketball together in his parent’s driveway where they hung a basketball hoop on the garage. We would play “horse” and “5-3-1”. We would occasionally play one-on-one and in retrospect I appreciate that Mike would occasionally let me win, as he was a far superior basketball player than me. I have very fond memories of Mike, and hearing of his passing brought a torrent of wonderful memories and deep sadness to me. Warmest regards to Mike’s family.

My sincere condolences to family and friends of Mike. I met Mike in 1968 at Maplewood Junior HS. We were friends and basketball team mates throughout High School. We had some fun, thrilling, and memorable moments together. I will miss him. RIP Mike.

I am an old teammate of Mike's from the Univ. of Maine and am saddened to hear of Pops passing. I was a junior when Mike showed up on campus; he brought with him a sweet jumper, a city attitude, and a treasure trove of Smokey Robinson, The Supremes, and the best of MoTown. He was a man ahead of his time. Pop was a really good guy; always could be counted on for a quick laugh and snide remark! I played with him for two years and while we went in different directions after college, his memory brings a smile to my face a half century later. I am sure Mike was very proud of his family and in reading his obit, it is obvious he continued to be the stand up guy he was as a young man of 20. My condolences to his whole family. My heart is heavy at the thought of his passing.

My sincere condolences. I remember Mike as a beautiful person. I met him through friends years ago. We would all hang out from time to time. He took us to (my first and only) a hockey game. It was quite an interesting experience and the seats were amazing. I used to go the Maplewood Tire all the time for new tires and rotations, etc. I could remember visiting Mike and Jill in Roselle Park at their apartment and remember being there after Nicole was born. I haven’t seen Mike in many many years. RIP Mike. You have left quite a legacy, in your children.

Many wonderful memories of Mike and Jill from dinners together at each others homes with our young children to vacations at the shore and cape cod. Rest in peace my friend. We would like to offer our sincere condolences on Mike's passing. Since we were Jill and Mike's next-door neighbors in New Providence for many years, we have numerous fond memories of Mike.
