I worked for Luis for over 30 years and can truly say he was one of the best people I ever met. He was an exceptional mentor, a brilliant attorney whose ethical compass was always true, and a deeply devoted family man. His clients always received the best legal advice, a testament to his belief in service over profit. Despite his wise-cracking ways, his integrity and kindness shone through in everything he did. May his memory be a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to know him.

In my younger years, I had the privilege of meeting and knowing Lou when his family lived up the street from us in South Orange. Lou was indeed a kind and gentle soul. This is a great loss to so many.

I think I still owe him like 20 bucks for never buckling my seatbelt. Seeing him always brought an instant smile to my face. For a father of 8 he somehow was still able to be a father figure to many more. Thanks for everything Mr, Sanchez!

A good man indeed, I knew him a relatively short time but immediately was attracted to Lou as a friend that God gifts to me as I journey through life. Thank you, Lord. It was special that he and I shared being Seton Hall Prep Alumni and being sons of Elizabeth- Lou having a long legal career in Elizabeth and for me, being proudly born and raised in the city. He truly ran the race of earthly life faithfully and was fully prepared for the next, final and majestic step- entrance and acceptance into the eternal life Our Lord has prepared for us. He will be missed but we rejoice in his exemplary life and where he now spiritually and joyfully resides for eternity. Alleluia!!! John McTague HZF

Met Luis freshman year at SHP and became fast friends. I had many opportunities to spend days (and nights) with the family and to experience the love that permeated in the Sanchez Family.
