I am so saddened to hear of Father Donald's loss. I was a cadet in the Civil Air Patrol with him back in the 1970's where my Father was the Commander of our squadron. I have so many fond memories of teenage years hanging out with all the boys from the group on weekends and the fun we had. We all shared a love of flying and of our country and made so many new friends. Father Donald baptized my first son Timothy in the fall of 1085 which was a very special thing for me to have a friend administer this blessed sacrament. May he rest in peace in the arms of our Lord.
Such a special man all through our high school years. He officiated our wedding and even made pre-cana tolerable. We are forever grateful for his inspiration to start our lives together. Rest in peace Pops. Margaret (Campanella ‘86) & Ken Quinn.
I will remember Fr Don and his involvement in the Union Catholic performing arts.
Thank you for writing the tribute. I was not aware of his involvement in Civil Air Patrol!
Rest in peace, Fr Don.
Our family was blessed to know Father Don during his time at Exton Senior Living. I will miss our “quick chats” that turned into hours long discussions on anything and everything- but always circled back to his faith and those he was closest to. We will continue to hold him, and all those who knew and loved him, in our prayers.
