Posts to the tribute of Sallyann Coppola

Sally was a very special lady. We met many years ago when she was walking the neighborhood loop with her beloved dogs and we remained fast friends. Always lovely, always up for some little adventure or other. we both enjoyed the many cheery breakfasts we shared at various local spots or in the garden - with blueberry pancakes always a special favorite. Sally loved her family so much and had so much pride in her daughters and granddaughters and their new husbands , (and son-in-law John who could fix anything!). She took special joy at the various milestones in all of their lives. Her home was covered with pictures of family and she was surrounded by your images and smiles. She loved her books about horses and dogs, and of course the Red Sox. Sal was a great inspiration personally, and a true example of dignity and grace and fortitude in the face of some pretty tough life challenges. She endured with spunk and grit and an impressive independence and strength of character. Sally valued the important things in life, including often the most simple little pleasures and loved a bit of fun!! It gives me a little chuckle to think of her going out with the fireworks on the 4th of July. She was a wonderful friend and is greatly missed. Go with God, Sally!

Sally welcomed my family in one of the most challenging periods in my life with an open and generous heart. She was always there to us and became part of our family. I especially enjoyed watching with her “Call the Midwife” and eating lentil soup. She is in a special place and we’ll meet again.
