Rosalyn Irene Brown née Cook, transitioned into the light on Saturday, February 1, 2025. Rashida Iman, as many knew her, was the youngest of four children, born in New York City where she resided before moving to Maplewood, New Jersey.
A graphic artist by profession, she spent much of time crafting, painting, drawing, reading and connecting with friends. Always enamored by nature, she was easily captivated by the beauty of a sunrise, the patterns in a single flower, or the allure of animals. She treasured the companionship of several dogs, cats, birds, and a rabbit over the years. Rashida lived a profoundly spiritual life and marked each day with an intention of service and love.
She is survived by her daughter Ria Barden, son-in-law, Sam, nephews and nieces, cousins and a host of grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and deeply cherished friends.
