Obituary of Frank T. Votto

Frank Thomas Votto, 83, of Chatham, NJ passed away peacefully at home on March 17, 2025 surrounded by his family.  

A pillar of strength, his absence leaves a void in our hearts.  He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. A graduate of Arts High School in Newark, Frank went on to Montclair State University where he was captain of the basketball team. He pursued his higher education at Rutgers University. He started his career at Plainfield High School and ended his career as Superintendent of Nutley Public Schools. A lifelong educator, Frank shared his immense wisdom and humor with all he interacted with. He loved traveling with his wife and friends. 

He is survived by his wife, Linda, daughter Laura Becker, (Andrew), granddaughter Carly and sister, Patricia Modica. He is predeceased by his sister, Denise Rudnicki (Votto), and brother Bobby Votto. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and all the lives he touched.

Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home 2122 Millburn Ave, Maplewood on Friday, March 21st from 4:00 – 5:30 PM followed by a prayer service at 5:30 PM. Burial is private.
