My heart hurts for everyone in Tom’s beautiful life. Such a beautiful soul who was so patient and so kind. I met Tom through work, where he humbly showcased his talent and willingness to help everyone be successful. His kindness was felt by all. I had the privilege to work with Tom and because his birthday coincided with an annual company meeting to celebrate his birthday. Tom represented not only what you hope for in a colleague (intelligent, dedicated, team-player) but also in a human being (compassionate, welcoming, trustworthy, and a great sense of humor). We are gonna miss you dearly, Tom, and will never forget you. Rest in peace my friend.

Dear Jaime and Family, I am so heartbroken of this unimaginable sudden passing of Tom. He truly was one of my most favorite coworkers and friends. He is forever so kind and caring and really funny. From the moment I joined this Virology team, Tom was always willing to help and give amazing advice, or be up for a great vent session. I feel so blessed that I got to spend the week in Grand Cayman last May with Tom and Jaime. It was a week filled with lots of laughs and amazing memories . I always picked up the phone whenever Tom called or texted. I feel so fortunate I got to catch up with him last Friday. My memories of him will always warm my heart and put a smile on my face . I love that I was fortunate to meet Jaime too since it made Tom’s endless heartfelt stories of her so much more real . My deepest condolences to all of you. Tom is already missed so much. But I believe that he will forever be by all our sides smiling down upon us. My thoughts and prayers, love and strength to Jaime and your entire family! Xoxo Meredith

Tom always had a smile on his face and was always so friendly and willing to chat. Tom and I would chat about the Eagles. Tom’s passion for his career and knowledge of data and numbers was so admirable. I was lucky to be on Toms trivia team this summer at our national meeting and it was fun to see his competitive side, he was quite the trivia whiz. We will miss you Tom.

When I think of Tom, his smile immediately comes to mind. He was such a warm, kind man who was always ready to help and support those around him.
