Dear Father,
Thank you very much for helping me to be a permanent member of the CBA and for igniting an interest in Judeo-Christian Dialogue through the many volumes you sent me right from my seminary days. We met just a few times and yet, they are treasured eternally on my mind.
You are physically missed, but your impact is still felt by me while preaching, teaching and writing here in Sri Lanka.
Hoping to meet you one more time in eternity, dear Father and father.
Fr. Don Anton Saman,
Colombo, Sri Lanka

In Loving Memory of Father Frizzell
Dear Father Frizzell,
You have been on my mind, and I had just reached out—only to learn that you had passed. It’s hard to put into words the sadness of that timing.
Our family was so blessed to know you. Though we lost touch for a while, the impact you made on our lives never faded. You brought wisdom, warmth, and a deep sense of faith and kindness to every moment we shared with you. Your presence was a steady source of guidance and comfort, and your friendship meant the world to us.
We take comfort in knowing that your legacy continues through your teaching, your writing, your ministry and most of all, through the countless lives you touched, helped, and befriended along the way.
We are so grateful for the time we had and the conversations that helped shape our lives. We will carry your memory with deep affection and lasting respect.
With love and prayers,
Ann Wong and Family

In Memory of Father Frizzell
I met Father Frizzell on the day of registration when I came aboard from Taiwan to study at Seton Hall university in fall of 1978. He was there to reach out to anybody who needed help, and I felt very blessed ever since, as if that was a chance of godsend, to meet him at the moment I began my journey in this country.
I soon learned that many other foreign students had the similar experiences receiving timely help and advice from Father Frizzell. He always managed to find time assisting us whether it was to do with studying or any other aspect of life.
Through him, many of us became life long friends. Because of his teaching, we adhered to our faith, formed an extended family. He devoted his whole life with the heart of a shepherd, along with his highly acclaimed religious studies, he fulfilled his duty of mission as a priest.
We were blessed to have celebrated many holidays with him , Chinese and American; religious or secular. He embraced and respected different cultures, thereby touched more hearts through his unselfish love. In addition to all his accomplishments as a respected religious scholar, he was known to us as a loving father, and to our families’ next generation, a grandfather. Noted in the Asian tradition, the most revered member of the family.
Father Frizzell left indelible memories in our hearts. He will be greatly missed.

A most erudite man with encyclopedic knowledge of the Bible and Judea-Christian history, Father Frizzell was also the kindest, most loving, caring and understanding. He guided and shepherded us through myriad of life’s challenges. Father always listened compassionately, and encouraged me when my faith faltered and I stumbled with innumerable sins. He never judged but only counseled and prayed for us. How many times did we ask Father to pray for our various needs. Instead of dialing 911 when in troubled water, we dialed (201) 761-9142 for Father-our interceding line to GOD!
Father even played softball with me in the park when I was a lonely teenager trying to adjust to life in America as a newly arrived refugee from Vietnam. He gave me books on learning English and corrected my school essays in addition to writing letters of reference for schools and work. We sorely miss our dear, beloved Father Frizzell and wish we could have much more precious time sharing meals with him as he especially enjoyed Chinese food and we always love and cherish dining out with Father. Our only consolation now is knowing that Father is residing in heaven and feasting at the Lord’s banquet. Condolences to Father Frizzell’s family and solace to all of us who are exceedingly saddened by his passing, who deeply mourn his loss for he had touched many lives and helped many of us who were blessed with Father’s exemplary tutelage and loving embrace. I still treasure the books Fr. Frizzell gave me when he learned I was an English major. He had a special way of encouraging people and he took a genuine interest in each person he met. I enjoyed working with him as a sacristan and Graduate Assistant and I am grateful I got to see his passion for his faith, literature and the people he served. Fr. Frizzell will be greatly missed; I am thinking of and praying for his family and the Seton Hall community.

A genuine, wise and humble man, whose homilies sometimes answered questions I didn't even know I had. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.
