Truly saddened on hearing the news of my loving cuz Michael's passing. You were such a lovely person, you and your wife Bernie really looked after us when we visited as children back in the 90's and we had such an amazing time. I'm so thankful I got to see you again when you came to visit last year for granny's birthday. What a good time we all had...memories is all we have left but I pray the Most High comforts and keeps your darling wife, children and other loved ones in his hands during this very sad time. May the Peace and Blessings of God be with Michael’s soul and his loving family. Michael was the beloved godson of my father, Bill Mungin Bey (“Papa Bey”) and we are so grateful that they were able to spend time with each other a few weeks ago while they were both in at-home hospice and just before my father’s 100th birthday a few days ago. What a blessing! We thank Lorna and Kareem (“Professor”) for making that beautiful moment come to fruition. May you be comforted in knowing that you gave Papa Bey such a loving moment with his dear godson.

I had the pleasure of meeting Michael when I was working at Crosstown Plumbing Supply. Being from the Caribbean, we formed an instant connection that blossomed into a lasting professional relationship. Over the years, we exchanged ideas and solutions in plumbing, even as I moved on to the East Orange School District.
No matter where life took us, our Caribbean bond allowed us to reconnect effortlessly. Michael's warmth and friendship will be deeply missed.

Michael was a funny and loving character. His cheeky smile could light up any dark place or heart. I first met my cuz in 1981, on my visit to st kitts with his aunt Shirley sargeant, my mother. He was the best cousin and nephew to us and was so kind and welcoming . My mother loved him dearly. His humour always stayed with me, and he will be missed, but never forgotten. All our condolences from Leeds (UK) all the way to his family in Jersey.

I’ve known Mike my entire life, and yet, it feels impossible to sum up what he meant to me. He was not just a family friend—he was a father figure. He helped raise me with kindness and advice. Much of who I am today is impacted by his presence in my life.
I regret not taking photos with him over the years, but my memories are etched deep in my heart.
May God grant his family peace and patience, and may the warmth of their memories bring comfort in the days ahead.
