Obituary of Felix Fermaintt, Jr.

Felix Fermaintt, Jr., 67, of Maplewood, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York, NY.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 6th, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Avenue, South Orange, NJ. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM.

Mr. Fermaintt was born on May 6, 1958, in Paterson, NJ. He had been a resident of Maplewood since 1988. He retired as a talented and dedicated Television Photographer for WNBC-TV in New York City, where he was respected for his professionalism and commitment to his craft.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda M. (Sowards) Fermaintt, and his sisters, Rosemary Fermaintt, Marilu Fermaintt, Migdalia Fermaintt and brother, Andy Fermaintt. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Norma Jordan and Betzaida Fermaintt.
