Obituary of Charles F Voight

Charles (Chuck) F. Voight, 86, of Jupiter, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 29th, at his residence.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th, from 5:00–8:00 PM at The Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Avenue, South Orange, New Jersey.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 13th, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 111 Claremont Road, Bernardsville.

Charles was born in Orange, New Jersey, and grew up in South Orange before serving in the U.S. Army from 1961-1963. Charles resided in Maplewood and Chatham prior to relocating to Florida in 2000.

Throughout his career—in sales at Zep, running his own industrial supply business, and later working in outdoor recreation—he built a solid professional reputation. This was due to his dedication, reliable work ethic, and talent for connecting with people from various backgrounds.

Charles was a devoted father, grandfather, friend, and neighbor who enriched the lives of those around him through his deep passion for hunting, fishing, and all forms of motor racing. His warm personality and quick wit were qualities that endeared him to everyone he met. Charles consistently demonstrated kindness, extending genuine care and friendship to those in his community.

One of Charles’s most remarkable traits was his unique ability to form meaningful connections—not only with his friends, but also with their children, whom he welcomed as part of his extended family. These relationships reflected his inclusive nature and the lasting impact he had on those fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his sons, Douglas (Lauren), Jeff (Jane) and David (Laura) and grandchildren Allison, Matthew, Jack, Lucas and Ava.

Charles will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his memory will remain a blessing to those whose lives he touched.

In lieu of flowers donations to Wounded Warrior Project would be appreciated.
