Obituary of Margaret Ann Taylor

Margaret Ann Taylor, 80, of East Orange, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 24, at Mountainside Hospital.

Margaret was a lifelong resident of East Orange and dedicated more than forty years of service to the East Orange Board of Education, where she worked as an administrator. She retired in 2010, leaving behind a legacy of commitment, professionalism, and care for the community she served.

She is survived by her beloved son, Christopher M. Taylor; her sister, Rosa Marie Jackson; and her cherished cousins Laurie Folkes, Marilyn Folkes, Joyce Jewelle, Ralph Folkes, and Doris Ann Epps. Margaret will be remembered for her strength, devotion to family, and lifelong dedication to education and service.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at The Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Avenue, South Orange, New Jersey. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Fairmount Cemetery, Newark, NJ.
