Teresita Ferrer Estoye, age 85, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, at Fairmont Senior Living of Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Born on June 6, 1940, in Quezon City, Philippines, Teresita lived a life defined by faith, compassion, dedication, and a wonderfully sharp sense of humor. She later made her home in Lanham, Maryland, where she spent most of her adult life.

Teresita earned her medical degree from the University of the Philippines in 1963, alongside her beloved husband, Cesar Romero Estoye. Together, they moved to the United States to complete their residency training. From 1975 to 1989, they shared a private medical practice in Roxboro, North Carolina. As an OB/GYN, Teresita went on to continue her career at a hospital near Lanham, Maryland, serving patients with skill, empathy, and devotion from 1990 through the late 2000s. She took great pride in caring for women and bringing new life into the world.

A loving and deeply caring mother and grandmother, Teresita was also an avid Catholic whose faith guided her throughout her life. Alongside her gentle compassion, she was well known for her raw, unexpected sense of humor and expressive shock reactions—traits that delighted family and friends and made time with her unforgettable.

She found joy in classic films, especially old movie favorites and the 1985 film Witness. She was a loyal fan of Duke basketball, loved the music of The Beatles, and had a special fondness for actor Benedict Cumberbatch.

Teresita was preceded in death by her husband, Cesar Romero Estoye; her brother, Jose Ferrer Jr.; and her sisters, Lollo Ferrer, Ligliwa Caindec, Carmelita Perez, and Maria Victoria Dubitsky.

She is survived by her sons, Jerome Eric Estoye and David Manning Estoye; her sister, Carmencita Caylo; and her cherished grandsons, Logan Craig Estoye, Derek Paul Estoye, and Trevor Neil Estoye.

Teresita will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her dedication to healing others, her love for her family, and the humor and warmth that defined her presence. She leaves behind a legacy of care, strength, and love that will live on in all who knew her.
