Obituary of Ro Thi Tran

Ro Thi Tran, age 72, of Newark, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at University Hospital in Newark, NJ.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Avenue, South Orange, NJ.

Mrs. Tran was born on December 31, 1953, in Ben Tre, Vietnam. She moved to the United States and had resided in Newark since 1992.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Duc Ly; her five daughters, Thuy-Duong Tran, Duong-Chau Tran, Chau-Tuyen Tran, Haiven Tran, and Kim Newcomb; her four stepsons, Phuc Ly, Thinh Ly, Nhan Ly, and Thao Ly; her siblings in Vietnam; and her cherished grandchildren.
