Obituary of Brenda Tarantino

Brenda (Bradamonda) Tarantino (nee Magliaro), 96, of Toms River, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 2, 2026.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 7th from 4:00--8:00 PM at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Avenue, South Orange, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect Street, South Orange on Wednesday, April 8th at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.

Born of Joseph and Angelina Magliaro on October 30, 1929 in South Orange, she was one of fourteen children, the thirteenth in her family. She and her beloved husband, Ralph, made their home in South Orange, where they raised their family of six. Brenda was busy as a homemaker, and also occasionally worked various part time jobs throughout her life, including as a Clerical Assistant with Hammond Map in Maplewood for ten years. Upon retirement, Brenda and Ralph relocated to Toms River, where they had resided for nearly 40 years.

Brenda was predeceased by her devoted husband, Ralph, and her daughter, Christine and all her siblings which included seven brothers and six sisters. She is lovingly survived by her children, Dominic Tarantino (Marilyn), Michele Busichio (Joseph, dee.), Debra Finelli (Louis), Robert Tarantino (Susan), and Bernadine Smith (Mark). She also leaves behind 13 cherished grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her memory forward. She will be sorely missed.
