Bucky was a beloved regular at the Liberty Tavern. More than a customer, he was a great friend and noble man to be around. It was a true honor to know him. He brought a lot of laughs, shared a lot of wisdom, was understanding and compassionate. He was clever and sharp as a tack. He was such a dedicated worker, many times we all yelled at him for getting up on the ladder or working in the heat…stubborn too I might add! He was thoughtful and caring, always putting others before him, especially his granddaughters who he doted on dearly. Quite a unique character, irreplaceable, the closest thing to a grandfather I could ask for. He will be missed. Truly someone who deserves to rest in peace.

I'm posting this on behalf of my Dad, Ron Arnold. Unfortunately, he will not be able to attend your service due to health reasons. You were such a great guy and he always spoke very fondly of you. He will always remember all the times spent together at the Liberty Tavern. Rest in Peace, Bucky. You will be greatly missed. Michael Arnold

Mr Buck. That’s how I remember him. Growing up on the same street, some of my earliest childhood memories take place in the Buckingham house. Mr Buck and the whole Buckingham family treated me like part of the clan, having me over for dinner, family picnics, and even taking me on vacations down the shore. I remember listening to 45 records on the stereo console that they had. Mr Buck was so involved in Buck’s life, and therefore mine, that he felt like my family too. He was my family. The Buckingham house was always filled with relatives, and there was always something going on. Everybody has flaws but from my perspective, you can’t find a more decent, honest, hard working provider, better father, better husband, better family man, or role model. Those qualities were fully passed along to Buck, and influenced me as well. Thank you. You will be missed. And remembered. Rest In Peace Mr Buck. Scott Schoner
