Dear Magliaro family, I was saddened to hear of my compare Raffaele passing to heaven. I think everyone who knew him felt happy just being around him. He greeted me always with a great smile and hug. I have known him and my commare Elena my whole life. They raised incredible children who have amazing families now. This wonderful family included my family growing up because we had few relatives in this country . That’s the thing about Italians, if we meet you and your Italian, you’re part of the family ! That’s who they were. That meant so much. They made me feel so loved and cared for .Many Sunday afternoons, we would spend with them and other Italian sitting outside . We would play cards, eat incredible food and just being together. I can’t remember a time that I didn’t feel incredibly loved and accepted by him and his family. Elena is such a kind a sweet person . I have fond memories driving down from New England to New Jersey to visit my parents . I would always stop and visit them. No matter what they were doing, compare and compare would make sure I felt welcomed !! They both maintained an immaculately kept home inside and out! They loved and cared for lots of people and were devoted to their family, children and grandchildren. They were the example of hospitality and generosity. When my mother passed away over 10 years ago, Elena would frequently visit my father and bring him homemade meatballs and sauce and other delicious Italian items. My compare Raffaele would drop by with wine and sit on the porch with my father . They were very Cari g towards my papa after my mother passed away do suddenly. They would talk about everything under the sun while walking around the park! . He was a very good friend. He was not only kind to me, but he really kind and loving towards my children who are all grown-up and have children of their own now . The last time I saw them was at my father‘s funeral. They were so kind and supportive then. Thank you so much for being a big part of my growing up. They attended my college graduation. I will treasure their photograph with me and my entire family. He was such a hard worker loved his family was always ready to give a helping hand and he will be very missed. God bless you all. We will be praying for you and for the service . much love.
