Obituary of Fred Goldman

Fred Goldman, 82, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, at Morristown Medical Center. Born in Newark, New Jersey, Fred made his home in West Orange, where he lived for more than 50 years.

Fred was a dedicated employee of the United States Post Office in Maplewood for 35 years, where he faithfully served the community for many years before his retirement.

Above all, Fred was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his beloved wife, Arleen (Friedman) Goldman; his son, Greg Goldman; his daughter, Tracie Behnke and her husband, Derek; his cherished grandchildren, Skyler and Owen Behnke; and his brothers, Marvin Goldman and wife Arleen Goldman and their children, Brett and Ali, and Spencer Goldman and wife Kathy Goldman and their children, Brianna and Larissa. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

The family will be receiving friends at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Avenue, Maplewood, on Sunday, July 12, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM., followed by a prayer service at 3:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations in Fred's memory be made to one of his favorite charities, Shriners Children's Hospital or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
