Obituary of Mary V. Tobie

Mary V. Tobie, 95, of Roseland, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026, at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey.

The family will be receiving friends on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:25 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave., Short Hills, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will be private.

Born and raised in Newark, Mary later made her home in Cedar Grove, where she and her beloved husband, William T. Tobie, raised their daughter, Barbara. Mary worked alongside her husband as secretary for his accounting practice, William T. Tobie, CPA, in Verona. She was devoted to her family and found her greatest joy in being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, William T. Tobie.

She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Barbara Rosa, and her husband, Dr. Richard Rosa; her grandchildren, Paul and his wife Jacqueline, Christina and her husband Matthew, Robert and his wife Olivia; and her cherished great-grandchildren, James, Liam, Ella, Charlotte, and a baby girl expected in November
