KEENAN Owen J. Keenan Owned plumbing business in Millburn, 70 Army veteran, member of Elks and Legion post Owen J. Keenan, 70, of Millburn died on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006, at the King James Nursing Home, Chatham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave., Short Hills, on Saturday, Oct. 14, at 10 a.m. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held at the Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. For more information or to send condolences, please visit jacobhollefuneralhome.com. Born in Summit, Mr. Keenan was a lifelong resident of Millburn. A self-employed plumber, he owned Keenan Plumbing in Millburn from 1960 to 2004, when he retired. He served in the Army from 1958 to 1964, and was involved in the Berlin Crisis. Mr. Keenan was a member of American Legion Guy Bosworth Post 140 in Millburn, the Springfield Elks Lodge 1181, and St. Rose of Lima Church in Short Hills. The beloved husband of the late Margaret Patricia Wyman Keenan, he was the devoted brother of John C. Keenan and his wife, Anne, of Brick and Joseph F. Keenan of Point Pleasant; dear brother-in-law of Betsy Morley and her husband, Jay, of Annapolis, Md.; loving uncle of 12 nieces and nephews, and 25 grandnieces and grand-nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations to Millburn-Short Hills First Aid Squad, 188 Glen Ave., Millburn, N.J. 07041 would be appreciated.
