John M  Baltus, 71 died at home in Springfield on July 9, 2019.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect Street, South Orange on Monday, July 15th at 10:30 AM.  Interment Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. The family will be receiving friends at the church on Monday from 9:00 -10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to Our Lady of Sorrows Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905 would be appreciated. John was born in Newark and lived in Maplewood before moving to Springfield many years ago. John graduated from Columbia High School in 1965 and graduated from Rutgers University, Newark in 1969. He worked at Hoffmann LaRoche in Nutley from 1969-2010 as a Compliance Coordinator in the Quality Management and Assurance Dept. John was a permanent deacon at Our Lady of Sorrows Church.  He is survived by his brother Thomas  Baltus and his nieces Donna Baltus-Olesky, Lisa  Baltus and Cinde  Brooks.
