Paul F. Aulisio, 78, of Brick formerly of Springfield, N.J. died at home on June 20th, 2017. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady Of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect Street, South Orange on Saturday, June 24th at 9:30 AM. Interment Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, E. Hanover. Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home 153 South Orange Ave, South Orange on Friday, 3:00 - 7:00 PM. For more information or to send condolences please visit prestonfuneralhome.net. Born in East Orange, Paul lived in Springfield for many years before moving to Brick in 2003. After graduating from Columbia High School, Paul enlisted in the U.S. Army and faithfully served in the Korean conflict returning home in 1958. He was a policeman for South Orange Police Department for 36 years and retired as a Captain in 1997. After retiring, Paul was an avid reader enjoying police, detective, crime, and mystery thrillers. Paul loved working in the kitchen and spent many Sundays making his famous gravy and meatballs. He was predeceased by his wife Ann LaRusso Aulisio. Paul Aulisio is survived by his daughter Susan O’Connell, step daughter Debra Mercatanti (Louis), step son William Young (Patricia), brother Richard Aulisio (Georgia), sister Marsha Romayo (Anthony), four grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society 986 S. Springfield Ave, Springfield, NJ 07081 would be appreciated.
