Kim Rene Gilmer, 62 of South Orange, NJ, passed away suddenly on Feb 11, 2021.

Visitation for the public will be held at Preston Funeral Home 153 South Orange Ave, South Orange on Friday, Feb 19^th from 10:15 – 11:30 AM Only.  Funeral Service is Private, due to current restrictions regarding the pandemic, attendance is limited, therefore, only family and friends that have been invited may attend. The service will be livesteamed on the funeral home website at 12pm. Internment to follow will be open to public at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers donation to Americas Grow A Row would be appreciated (Americasgrowarow.org/donate). Kim was born in Newark, NJ and has lived in South Orange for over 30 years. She received her associates degree in Business Administration from Essex County College in 2009. Kim worked for United Health Group for the past 15 years. She worked for over 40 years in the IT industry. She was an active and dedicated member of Christ Church in Montclair and participated in annual activies for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Jersey Cares. Kim also worked closely with her employers in charitable and service events.

Kim is survived by her husband, Wesley Gilmer, her two children, Jamil and Renee,  brother Wayne Cleveland, sister, Serita Little and her granddaughter Lesedi Moore, in addition to an abundance of close family and friends.
