Vibrant and purposeful throughout her life, Beverlee Turner Bolton, of Maplewood, NJ, succumbed to old age on July 3, 2017. She passed away at home surrounded by family; she was 87. Born in Toronto, Canada, Beverlee and W.A. Peter Bolton, her husband of 36 years, traveled the world. While he worked with the US Department of State, she taught; they lived in Liberia, Thailand, Haiti and the Middle East. They had settled in Alexandria, VA before moving to Maplewood to be near their children from previous marriages. Beverlee (née) Turner graduated from the University of Redlands, CA, and received her Master in Education from the University of California, Berkeley. Her final job was as writing instructor at the Virginia Theological Seminary, Alexandria, VA from 2002 - 2008. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the VTS in her name. Beverlee Turner Bolton is survived by her husband W. A. Peter Bolton, daughters Anisa Mehdi, Janan Chandler and Laila Hilfinger, grandchildren Patrick, Laila, Maeve, Janna, Turner, Grant and Jack and great grandchildren Rachel and Ryan. The family is receiving friends for visitation at the Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Avenue, on Thursday, July 6 from 7:00-9:00 PM. Beverlee Bolton’s memorial service will be held at Morrow Memorial Church, 600 Ridgewood Road, Maplewood, on Saturday, July 8, at 2 PM. Friends are invited to a reception at Anisa Mehdi’s home following the service.
