I cannot find enough words to express my deep sorrow at the loss of Leah Marie. I was so looking forward to meeting her.Her time here was short but I'm sure she has left an indelible mark on those who met her. Oftentimes when I spoke with Janet, I heard the pride and joy in her voice of what Leah meant to her and Romaine.
Janet and Romaine, I encourage you to cherish those precious memories. I am assured that the Lord's everlasting arms will be wrapped snugly around you as you grieve your baby. Leah Marie, beautiful baby girl, it was a pleasure to have met mommy and daddy’s bundle of joy. It was always a pleasure to have hour long conversations with mommy about the infinite new things you were learning, about your sassy and bold personality, and your warrior spirit. On your first birthday, when we met, I was in a state jubilance. I realized right then and there why mommy spent hours boasting about how special you are. You welcomed me into your home and heart with those big, beautiful, attentive eyes, that radiating smile, and by allowing me to hold you while grasping onto my fingers and pulling on my curls. And just like mommy described to me, you let me know you had a sassy and bold personality by telling me that you’d had enough of me and you were ready to put up a good fight if I didn’t get you in your mommy or daddy’s arms soon, lol. Your fight here on earth is complete baby girl. You’re now an angel whose fighter spirit all of your loved ones have inherited. An angel who introduced mommy and daddy to an eternal one-of-a-kind love. An angel who I know will look after mommy, daddy’s, and all of her loved one’s well being.
To Janet and Romaine through your love for one another you created this beautiful baby girl who touched the hearts of every person she met. To Mom and Dad
We all became parents around the same time. It was great sharing our stories and experiences. I always called her Miss Leah because she was so sophisticated and beautiful with her perfect hair curls and beautiful eyes. She wasn’t just pretty… she had the attitude to match! Leah was so strong, and we know she got this from the two of you. What a blessing she was… so unique in so many ways. This is a huge loss and I am here if you both need anything.

At this sad time for a loss of such a beautiful amazing girl, I want to remember the best of all... I know Leah was a gifted girl from the start as her physical therapist that worked with her directly for many months..She was very alert and bold, she enjoyed all her toys and played with them, she did it her way.. and I always loved that about Leah... she was courageous and independent and very intelligent...I think we can agree she came to this earth as a wise, old soul...what most impressed me and my favorite memory is the love that was shared between her and Mom and Dad... that is such a precious gift... some people may live to be 100 years old and never feel that connection or love from parent to child...I know her life was short, but my interactions with family, demonstrates the power of love between parents and child ... and that is a beautiful and wonderful memory I have of this most precious couple and child...I know you have an angel in heaven because to me, she was an angel on Earth..I love you all and will miss you both and Leah most sincerely , Heather Hill physical therapist..
