Obituary of Val Hristake

Val Hristake, 89, of Chatham, NJ, passed away on September 30th 2021 at Overlook Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at a later time.

 

Val Hristake was born in Romania on December 1 1931 as Valentin Danut Ion.

For the last 40 years he had lived in the United States where he distinguished himself as a mechanical engineer and inventor, working for 13 years for Breed Automotive in Fairfield NJ.

During this time Val had obtained more than 40 patents for a vast variety of custom specialty fasteners.

Before retirement in 2001, Val had worked for Pharmacopeia in New Brunswick, as a mechanical engineer in charge with automated systems and robotics.

 

Val is survived by his wife of 58 years Irene Santori Hristake, his niece Oana Trister, his grand nephew Andrew Trister MD, PHD and his great granddaughter Eva Trister.
