Obituary of Ruth A. Gargas

Ruth A. Koelble Gargas, 86, of Westfield passed away at Complete Care at Westfield  on November 10, 2021 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, 767 Prospect St., Maplewood, on Monday November 15^th at 9:30 AM. Interment Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home 2122 Millburn Avenue Maplewood, NJ  on Sunday from 2:00 – 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905  would be appreciated. Ruth was born in Newark and had lived in Maplewood, Union and Annadale before moving to Westfield. She worked as a bank teller for the Maplewood Bank and Trust for many years.  She was a past member of The Ladies Auxilary of the South Orange Elks. 

Ruth was predeceased by her husband George N. Gargas and brothers Robert and John Koelble. She is survived by her children, JoAnn Walsh (Jimmy) and Nicholas Gargas (Patricia), grandchildren John and Daniel Gargas, Maggie Walsh and great grandchildren Jacob, Brynn and Lucy Gargas.
