Obituary of Robert Novembre

Robert Novembre, 82, of West Orange, NJ, passed away surrounded by his loving family at his residence on Saturday, December 18, 2021.

Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home (153 South Orange Avenue, South Orange, NJ 07079) on Tuesday, December 21 from 5:00-8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church (217 Prospect Street, South Orange, NJ 07079) on Wednesday, December 22 at 10:00 AM. Internment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery (225 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ 07936).

Robert was born in North Bergen, NJ and resided in West Orange, NJ for the past 26 years. He graduated from Caldwell College in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. From there, he began teaching 5^th Grade at St. Joseph’s School in Mendham then went on to Fort Lee School #3. Among the various honors of his career, he was given The Governor’s Teacher’s Recognition Award representing School #3. He taught the minds of future generations for 45 years, building relationships with his students that lasted beyond his retirement in 1999.

Robert is predeceased by his brother Thomas Novembre and niece Tina Gaidus (nee Novembre). Robert is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 53 years, Carol Novembre (nee Passarotti), his beloved sons Robert and his wife Shivana, Thomas and his wife Aura, his grandchildren Jasmine, Stella and Harrison, along with his sister-in-law Marie and his nieces Tori and Tracy.
