Obituary of Vincent J. Nota Jr.

Vincent J. Nota Jr., (V.J./Vinnie) 51 of Maplewood passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on February 3, 2022. 

 

Vincent was born in Hoboken and when he was two-years old his family moved to Maplewood. He grew up playing town little league baseball and basketball for his church. He graduated from Columbia High School in the class of 1989 and the culinary program at Morris County Vocational School.  He was a loyal employee of Kings Food Market in Maplewood for 33 years in the meat department, and the past year at the Kings store in Chatham.  Vinnie was a lifelong fan of WWE and had a love of sports, especially the NY Yankees.

 

Vinnie was a kind, sweet man with a magnetic personality, big broad smile and witty sense of humor.

He is survived by his mother, Kathryn Gustoso Nota; Sister, Elissa Nota Jannicelli and her husband James; and nephews James, Joseph and Johnathan Jannicelli. Vincent was pre-deceased by his father, Vincent J. Nota, Sr.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, 767 Prospect Street, Maplewood, on Monday, Feb 7th at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in N. Arlington.  Visitation will be held at The Jacob A.
