Maria Luisa Rubio, 88, beloved mother and grandmother of Livingston passed away on Sunday February 6, 2022, at The Center for Hope Hospice in Elizabeth. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect Street, South Orange on Thursday February 10^th at 10AM.  Interment to follow at Princeton Cemetery 29 Greenview Avenue, Princeton.

Maria was born in Cotacachi, Ecuador. She was a homemaker and dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren.  Her joy and passion for creative work went beyond embroidery which earned her praise and awards.

She was predeceased by her husband Carlos Rubio. She is survived by her daughters Alba, Norma and Tania Rubio, her sisters Zeneida and Lydia Lanchimba, and grandchildren Erica, Andrei, Anthony, and Martin.
