We called him “Miles”!
There were no personal pursuits on his agenda; what was good for his family came first! They were always the bonus of his life! He did a great job as a father and husband. He was physically formidable, but for the tower of the man that he was; he had the softest heart. He had the amazing ability to see someone deeply and to make them feel heard and understood.
He was super intelligent and deeply into reading. Whomever said, “Of the reading of books, there is no end; they had Miles in mind! Miles was also well traveled and we loved listening to his travel stories. He made the stories of Ireland and his 30 trips to Europe so interesting! He was a great ambassador for this country.
I am so thankful for the memories of Bridie and Miles, and the laughter, and joy and sometimes tears that we shared over the years. We loved them!
