Obituary of Daniel DiBernardo

Daniel DiBernardo, 91, of Bayville, passed away on Wednesday, May 18th, 2022 at St. Barnabas Medical Center.

 

Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave, Maplewood, on Saturday, May 21st, from 1:00-4:00 PM. A Funeral Service will to follow at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association, 8180 Greensboro Drive, Suite 400, McLean, VA 22102 or at alz.org would be appreciated. 

 

Daniel was born in Newark, NJ. He and his wife Joan formerly lived in Milburn NJ, where they were married. After that, he and Joan moved to Lake Gaston, NC. where they enjoyed many happy years in retirement. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War from 1951-1953. After that, Daniel ran his own meat provision route for Kohler meets, and he later worked as a Supervisor for Kohler Meats in Newark, NJ, until he retired. Dan enjoyed bowling, boating, and being a part of the Lake Gaston community. He also enjoyed being involved in his church community, and in the Knights of Columbus in Lake Gaston. Dan loved spending time with his grandchildren and great granddaughter, especially when they would come to NC to visit him, and would all stay together in his home. 

 

Daniel is predeceased by his wife Joan DiBernardo nee Hassley. He is survived by his children Debbie DiBernardo, Donna Dickson (Chris), and Raymond DiBernardo, his sister Maryann Trento, grandchildren Grace and Casey Dickson, Daniella, Raymond and Kevin DiBernardo, and great-granddaughter Genevieve Rose DiBernardo.
