Obituary of Patricia A. Miller

Patricia Ann (Rogers) Miller, 87, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at her home at Arbor Terrace in Mountainside, NJ.

Born in Platte City, Missouri, Pat was the daughter of Paul and Lora Rogers. After graduating from Excelsior Springs High School, she earned a degree in Dance at Christian College.

Pat moved to New York City to continue intensive ballet training and pursue her dance career. She met her former husband Wade Miller when they were both performing in Can-Can at Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, NJ. They lived in New York then moved to Millburn where she resided for over 50 years. After starting a family, Pat taught children’s ballet classes in Millburn. She also worked as a substitute teachers’ aide and taught adult exercise classes.

One of Pat’s greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed the arts, and loved to attend theater, music and dance performances. While at Arbor Terrace a highlight of her week was Zumba class.

Pat is survived by her children: Lori Abbott and her husband James, Lisa MacDonald and her husband Robert, and Kristin Morales and her husband Albert; her brother: Michael Rogers; and her grandchildren: Dylan MacDonald, Bryce Morales, and Audrey MacDonald.

A memorial service may be held at a future date.
