Sorry to hear of your passing. I'll never forget our lunch at Trader Vics in NYC. You were so handsome and charismatic. You were the original when it came to the shaved head! No one wore it better. Love and prayers to your family.

Arthur Benedict Scheffler lived a vigorous and full life for 93 years. He was born and raised in Montclair, NJ. He attended the University of Maine and graduated with a degree in forestry. Arthur and Eleanor Russell, also of Montclair, were married in 1952. Art moved his family to Bloomfield, NJ and they raised three daughters: Gretchen Huhn, Lee Ann Griffin, Nancy Ewart (deceased). He later married a second time to Judith Brinsfield and they lived in Summit, NJ.
Arthur is survived by his sister Jean Kindberg, of Parsippany, NJ, his 2 daughters, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Art had a variety of interests, including nature and outdoors, canoeing and sailing, and music. He was always fond of Maine and spent as much time there as possible. He wanted to learn new things, and read books, watched documentaries, and surfed the Internet. He was a man with a strong will, determined to achieve his goals, and was always looking forward to the future.

Teresa, Ivan and the staff at K9 Resorts in Madison are very sorry for your loss. Art boarded his dog Prince with us many times over the years and we got to know him well. We always found room for Prince no matter how busy we were. Art was always a gentleman and he had great love for his dog. He appreciated us and we appreciated him. We always looked forward to seeing him and we will miss him.
