Cindy was a warm and competent administrator. I knew her only through my teaching after-school activities (Ultimate Frisbee) at Washington School, yet I felt her loss deeply nonetheless. She was on top of everything and knew instantly if any child was not present that day or had some special circumstance, which is quite a memory feat! Rest in Peace.

Cindy was a huge part of my children's incredibly special time at the Wyoming School, and my son then had the good fortunate to be with her at the Washington School when it opened. I watched with admiration as she brought smiles, love and compassion to my children as well as every child who walked into the school. As a working mom, who would often travel, she became a dear friend who would consistently offer the most comforting words, a warm glance of understanding as one mom to another, or a big hug to give me peace of mind to know that my children would be in great hands while I was away. She also spoke of her children, Courtney and Carter with great pride and tremendous love, every chance that she got which warmed my heart again and again. Cindy loved her children dearly. She also made every child in the school feel greatly valued and deeply cared about. Cindy was a beautiful person inside and out. She will be missed by everyone whose life she's touched. We are grateful to have had you in our lives, Cindy. We love you and will never forget you. Love, Pam, Doug, Sara and Jake Solomon

How fitting my last time spent with you Aunt Cindy was on The Asbury Park boardwalk in December 2022. This was the same boardwalk my first memories of you come to mind growing up in Deal, NJ. I will miss you everyday, thank you for the absolute unconditional love my whole life and letting me know it…. I will miss so many things about you, but mostly the laughs!!! I love you Nimbs.

Cindy was the kindest and sweetest person. Her smile could light up a room. I was so fortunate to teach with Cindy for several years at Wyoming School. We taught kindergarten together and I felt so blessed to have had her as my teaching partner. Cindy always cared about everyone. She made everyone feel special. I always enjoyed hearing about Chip, Courtney and Carter. She loved being a wife and a mom. In addition, she was such an amazing friend! She truly made the world a better place!

If you were lucky to know Cindy, you were lucky! She was the kindest woman with the biggest heart. She adored her children and talking about them always brought a smile to her face. Her family was her everything. Cindy always made you feel like you were family, as when she talked to you it was as if you were the only one in the room. I met her at Wyoming and then we went over to Washington School together. I have since moved to the High School, but she certainly touched my heart so!

I first met Cindy 20 years ago, when we were in a kindergarten! Every day we laughed….. I met her again in Wyoming 6 or7 years ago. and she welcomed me back! And finally I reconnected with Cindy At Washington, and it was like we never left each other. She was always welcoming and kind. I feel so lucky to have had those Cindy “moments”.

Cindy was the first person I met at Wyoming School when I started nine years ago. She was always smiling and came to the rescue for so many things in the office. When she moved to Washington School, I taught there as well. I loved our daily chats as I walked into the building every morning. Cindy truly was special. As a Monmouth County local myself, we loved talking about the Jersey Shore restaurants and hot spots and all the fun places she was visiting on the weekends “down the shore.” I will never forget her. She has made a lasting impact on my experience in Millburn from day one. Rest in peace Cindy. You will be sorely missed by so many. ♥️

I met Cindy many years ago at Wyoming School. At that time, I was a new teacher. She was assigned to help out in my classroom. At that point, I would normally feel nervous about having someone in my class. However, that was not the case with Cindy. She immediately made me feel at ease and it was evident that she was the kindest and most nonjudgmental person you could ever meet. Shortly after, she became a secretary at the school. She did such an amazing job of keeping the school running smoothly.
Always kind, always considerate and always looking out for others.
I remember when she came to my wedding and I spotted her in the middle of the dance floor dancing with my Mom. (She had some good moves!) They had never met before, but Cindy was that kind of person. You could meet her once and she would instantly befriend you.
Throughout the years I learned just how kind-hearted Cindy really was. If I was stuck in traffic or had an issue with one of my children; she would always reassure me that she would take care of things and everything would be okay. She was always looking out for us, keeping us calm and safe. I will forever remember her smile and the way her voice and words of wisdom could instantly bring peace to an otherwise hectic situation.
When my students arrived after the sad news on Monday, they spoke about all of the kind things she did for them as well. They described her as super-nice, patient and understanding. Keep in mind they had only known her a few months, but like I mentioned earlier, she was just that kind of person. The kind of person that made you feel “at home” instantly.
Cindy, you will be missed more than you could imagine. Sending love and hugs to your family members and friends during this difficult time.

Cindy is my friend! She was the first friend I made when I moved to Millburn 27 years ago. She was part of my village while raising 4 daughters. Cindy often told Clare that the Todd house was her first excursion after she was born.
I spent many Friday evenings winding down the week with Cindy laughing and enjoying our young family’s. I don’t think anyone told a better story, she could make the most mundane interaction make you laugh until you cried.
But most of all Cindy was a Mother who adored her children, her husband and her home. Ridgewood Road will never be the same with out that beautiful smile and greeting from 919 inviting you up for a visit, a drink and a laugh. Our hearts are broken.
