Obituary of Michael A. Pescatore

 Michael A.Pescatore, 97 of Manahawkin passed away on March 1, 2023 at Southern Ocean   Medical Center in Stafford Township, New Jersey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Church,50 Short Hills Ave., Short Hills at 10:00 AM on Tuesday March 7^th. Entombment Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Michael was born in Newark and had lived in Millburn for over 40 years and in Mountainside  before moving to Manahawkin fourteen years ago. He was very proud of his service in the U.S. Navy during WWII  in the Pacific Theatre.

Michael received his undergraduate and Masters degree from Seton Hall University. He worked as a teacher and administrator for the Newark Board of Education for many years until his retirement. He was an avid golfer who worked on his 3 handicap game.

Michael was predeceased by his wife Gloria Ciarrocca Pescatore and his sister Josephine Gregory.  He is survived by his children Gail Wiser, Michael L. and Christopher Pescatore and grandson Christopher Pescatore Jr.
