Obituary of Thomas L. Coless

Thomas L.   Coless, 93 of Lewiston, NY formerly of Maplewood, NJ passed away on April 4, 2023.

Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home 2122 Millburn Avenue, Maplewood, NJ on Monday, April 10^th from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Church, 767 Prospect St, Maplewood on Tuesday, April 11^th at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at  St. Teresa's Cemetery, Summit. 

Thomas was born in Bayonne and had lived in Maplewood before moving to Lewiston in 1975. He received his undergraduate degree from Seton Hall University and his Masters from Steven’s Institute.  Thomas served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a Chemist and worked for Union Carbide Corp. in Trenton, NJ and Niagara Falls, NY for 50 years.

Thomas was predeceased by his wife Joan Stankiewicz Coless, his son Lt. Thomas M. Coless, USN, his grandson Daniel Coless and his siblings Louis and Robert Coless and Marie Czachor.

He is survived by his sons Victor and David Coless (Elisa), daughter in-law Ellen Coless, grandchildren Katherine Stochlinski (Steve) and Kevin Coless, great grandson Benjamin Stochlinski and his brother Father Gabriel Coless, OSB.
