Obituary of Robert M. Keating, Sr.

Robert M. Keating, Sr., 87, of Springfield passed away on April 21, 2023 at Center for Hope Hospice, Scotch Plains.

Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Avenue, Maplewood, on Monday, April 24^th from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Avenue, Short Hills on Tuesday, April 25^th at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at St. Teresa's Cemetery in Summit. 

Robert was born in East Orange, and lived in Short Hills before moving to Springfield 20 years ago. Robert worked as a Lab Technician for NJ American Water Company in Short Hills. He served in the Navy and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was honored to be a volunteer firefighter in Millburn Township for 50 years.

Robert is survived by his wife Catherine Ryan Keating, children Patricia Mulrane (Earle), Margaret Tavis (Brian), Robert Keating, Jr. (Eileen), Linda Wade (Edward), Mary Quinn (John) and Michael Keating, 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a sister, Nancy Allocco. Robert was predeceased by his parents Martin and Lucille Keating and brothers Martin and William Keating.
