Obituary of Jennie R. Magliaro

Jennie R. Magliaro (nee Torsiello), 96 passed away on April 21, 2023 at home surrounded by her family.

Jennie was born in Orange and has lived in South Orange since 1949.  Jennie worked in Sales for GM Stark in South Orange. Earlier in her life, she was very active in local politics and in her later years enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and reading. Jennie was happiest when her family was around. She was a loving, sweet and caring, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She was the beloved wife, for 65 loving years, of the late Angelo J. “Muzzy” Magliaro; devoted mother of Angela Rose Magliaro, Mary Jo House and the late Paul A. Magliaro; loving grandmother of Corinne M. House (Joe Nittoli), Jesse T. House and Dustin House, and great-grandmother of Damian House; loving sister of Patsy Torsiello, Geraldine Cutrone, Anthony Torsiello, Angela McMahon and the late Carmela Mercadante, Frances Powell, Anna Sutula and Rose Marie Kelly.  

Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave, South Orange, NJ  on Thursday, April 27^th  from 2-4 & 7-9 PM . The Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect Street, South Orange on Friday, April 28^th at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in E. Hanover. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to South Orange Rescue Squad, 62 Sloan Street, South Orange, NJ 07079, would be appreciated.
