Dear Uncle Mike,
I wish I could have talked to you one more time . I will miss when you called me “Tare”. .. and when you used to call Mom “Trick”. I remember being a kid and helping you play poker .. having no idea what I was doing .. and spending the week with you and Aunt Liz when I was small .. hope that you found everyone up there in heaven .. and the beer is cold ! Love you lots ! Your niece Terri xoxo

I just want to thank everyone for the role you played in my brother's life. It's impossible to talk to some of you who are so close that I cannot get words out over the tears. I have never been so heartbroken in my entire life. I honestly don't know what I will do without him. No matter what I did I always knew that "the Mick" had my back. There was never a more loyal and reliable person. It's so ironic...I remember when our Dad was going through the same thing, in 1977, my brother took him for his chemo treatments. I can remember like it was yesterday Michael carrying our father in his arms, down the front stairs of Ivy Street to the car.
I loved "the Mick" so much...he was one of a kind and thankfully there's a history of great memories. To all the people on the Parade Committee, the Irish-American Society of Union, the warehouse, his friends who stood by him and with him in the "Knights" hypocrisy and ungrateful treatment of a man and a group of men who supported that organization so well, for so long, only to be attacked by a guy who as it turned out "would be there for a cup of coffee" and the cash register thieves who were his allies. You all know who you are-courageous Catholic Men- and you know who the protagonist was.And to his life-long buddies...the Cranns, the Youngs, Tim Bradley, Harry Capko,Joe Cryan,...and many others...Thank you for being such a large part of his like.
I hope and pray that whenever help is needed by Liz, Michael,Jr, or Kelly Anne (truly the apple of his eye) I can be as supportive as he was to anyone who needed a hand.
God Bless You "Mick"...I know you're at peace but it's only been 3 days and I miss you terribly already....

Mike was a genuine guy. Heart of gold. I'll miss him everyday. To his family, I pray you find the strength to carry on, as Mike would want you too.
Forever in my heart.

Greetings: I'm very sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5:28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". You can go to jw.org for more information about this hope.
