Obituary of Joseph E. Zavesky Jr.

Joseph E.   Zavesky, Jr. 54  passed away on July 13, 2023 at home in Brandon, FL

Joe was born in Orange, New Jersey and was a life long resident of Maplewood, New Jersey before moving to Brandon, Florida in 2020. A graduate of Columbia High School Class of 1986, Joe received a B.A.from University of Delaware and Paralegal Certificate from Montclair State University. Joe’s true passion was working as a Travel Agent and was with the AAA Travel Agency for a majority of his 30 years in the industry.  

Joe spent childhood summers at the Maplewood Community Pool, was a valuable member of the swimteam and worked there as a lifeguard during his teenage years. He was an avid sports enthusiast, a dedicated Yankees baseball fan, life long Giants football season ticket holder and a seasoned world traveler. Joe will be missed by the many personal and professional friendships he maintained throughout his lifetime.

Joe is survived by his sisters Veronica  Doll of Union, Andrea  Marino of Maplewood and Susan Morris of Clinton Township and 9 nephews and a niece: Jack Jr. and Matthew Doll, Chris, Geoff, Laura and Will Marino and Tyler, Dylan and Brett Morris. He was predeceased by his parents Dorothy and Joseph E. Zavesky, Sr.
