Obituary of William "Charlie" Howard

William  “Charlie” Howard, 90 of Somerset formerly of Maplewood passed away on August 19, 2023.

Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home 2122 Millburn Avenue, Maplewood, NJ  on Sunday, August 27^th  from 2-5 PM. The Funeral Service will be held at Monday, August 28^th  at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union. 

Charlie was born in East Orange, and lived in Maplewood for 45 years before moving to Somerset in 2023. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Upsala College in East Orange, he then served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Charlie  worked for the Public Works Department in Maplewood for 25 years retiring in 1999.

Charlie was predeceased by his wife Lois “Cookie”  Howard. He is survived by his, Step Son Robert  Maxton (Nicole), Step Daughter Dawn Bradley (Fred), grandchildren Caitlin Bradley, Rebecca Bradley, Eric Maxton, Olivia Maxton (Evan Craige) and nephew Kenneth Ott
