Danielle M. Vangel Horan, 34, passed away suddenly on August 31, 2023 at home in Piscataway.

Danielle was born and raised in Syracuse, NY and lived in Piscataway, NJ for the past 6 years. She graduated from Canisius University in 2010 and had been working as a Project Manager for Lovisa Jewelry in Los Angeles, CA for the past year. Prior to Lovisa, Danielle worked as a Store Manager for Forever 21 for 14 years.

Danielle was the brightest of lights, with an authentic personality and dynamic charisma. She had many artistic qualities, a competitive personality, and vibrant spirit. An inspiration to all her colleagues and friends, she had an infectious laugh and beautiful heart that she shared with all who had the honor of knowing her. She had an unconditional love for her dogs, Riley and Gizmo. Her unexpected passing leaves a hole in the hearts of all that knew her.   

Danielle is survived by her husband James R. Horan, father John Vangel, mother Deborah LaRose Vangel, brother Christopher Vangel (Melissa), nephew Mason Vangel, niece Ellie Vangel, father-in-law and mother-in-law Robert and Donna Horan, brother-in-law Gerard Horan (Diletta) and also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home 153 South Orange Ave, South Orange, NJ on Thursday, Sept 7th from 4:00 - 8:30 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect Street, South Orange on Friday, Sept 8th at 10:00 AM. Interment is private.
