Obituary of Bernice C. Plesnik

Bernice C.  Plesnik, 89 of Maplewood passed away on September 8, 2023.

Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home 2122 Millburn Avenue, Maplewood, NJ on Tuesday, Sept 12^th from 3-7 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St, South Orange on Wed, Sept 13^th at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. 

Bernice was born in Newark, NJ and grew up in Harrison, Kearny and East Orange. She lived in Orange before moving to Maplewood in 1981. She graduated from East Orange High School in 1951. Bernice worked at Worthington Corp in the 1950’s and Stromberg Products in East Orange from the 1970’s - 1995. She belonged to the Maplewood Senior Citizens, enjoyed being a Den Mother for the OLV Cub Scouts Pack 13, going on trips to Monmouth Park and Atlantic City, and  loved hosting family gatherings for the holidays especially Christmas Eve.

Bernice is survived by her son John P.  Plesnik, cousins Paul and Edward Czekaj and Janet Doyle, sister – in –laws Irene and Betty Stalets and several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was predeceased by her husband John M.  Plesnik, son Richard Plesnik, parents Frank Stalets and Bernice Wasylyk and brothers Paul and Vincent Stalets.
