Obituary of Jeanne Eileen Prial

Jeanne Eileen Prial, 91 of South Orange passed away on September 21, 2023 at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston

Family will be receiving friends at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave. South Orange, NJ  on Sunday, October 1^st from 2 to 5 PM. Interment is private. 

Jeanne was born in Jersey City and has lived in South Orange for 60 years. She received her undergraduate degree from Trinity College in Washington DC. She earned her Masters degree from Columbia University (Teachers College) in New York City. Jeanne was a Founder and Director of The Center School in Somerset which focuses on empowering students with learning disabilities and complex educational challenges since 1971.

Jeanne was predeceased by her husband Frank J. Prial and her son Mark. She is survived by her sons Frank J. Jr. & Dunstan Prial,  daughter in laws Patricia ( Mark’s wife), Amy (Dunstan’s wife), grandchildren Grace, Joseph, Hazel, James, McKenna, Gilroy and Clayton.
