Obituary of Ronald T. DeBlis

Ronald T.  DeBlis Sr., 99 of Short Hills passed away on September 24, 2023, at St. Barnabas Hospital, Livingston.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Avenue,  Short Hills on Friday, September 29^th at 10:00 AM.  

Ron was born in Millburn, New Jersey and was a lifelong resident of Short Hills, New Jersey. Ron served in the Army as a Staff Sergent during WWII.  He attended Seton Hall University on the GI Bill. Ron worked as a Senior Account Manager for Dun & Bradstreet in Millburn from 1945 – 1987. He also was a wine broker from 1987 – 2011. Ron was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church in Short Hills, Rock Spring Country Club in West Orange, and Tiro A Segno in New York City.

Ron is survived by his son Damian C. DeBlis, son Ronald T. DeBlis Jr. and his wife Liza Smiles DeBlis; daughter-in-law Susan Lewis DeBlis, his sister, Mary Trincanello, and six grandchildren: Andrew (wife Jenny), Peterson, Alexandra (husband Dan), Christian, Thomas (fiancé McKenzie) and William, plus two great-granddaughters, Devyn and Lola. He was predeceased by his wife Lillian Backus DeBlis, his son Carl A. DeBlis, and 10 siblings.
