Peguy Petit-Frere, 58, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2023 at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida.
 

Peguy was born in Saint-Raphael, Haiti on February 2nd, 1965. He received his bachelor's degree in engineering from Institute Technique d’Haiti in 1993. After spending two years as an engineer at APN, Peguy moved to the United States in 1995 to join his family, many of whom had moved from Haiti to the U.S. themselves.
 

Once in the States, Peguy forged a new professional path and became a Maitre D at the Madison Hotel in Madison, NJ.
 

At the turn of the century, Peguy became a father when his first son, Jason, was born in 2001. He would go on to have three more sons, Raphael, Christopher and Marcus. He was immensely proud of his four boys as well as the many nieces and nephews he forged strong relationships with.

Peguy is survived by sons, Jason, Raphael, Christopher and Marcus; his siblings, Pierre Michel (Pamela), Marie Raphael, Marie Marnelle, Mireille (Peter), Emmanuel Cedely (Adeline) and Pierette; and his many nieces and nephews. Peguy is preceded in death by his parents, Desaire and Anassoule Dourat Petit-Frere and his brother-in-law, Fred Joseph Sr.

Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home 2122 Millburn Avenue, Maplewood, NJ on Friday, Nov 17^th from 6:00 - 8:30 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, 767 Prospect St, Maplewood on Saturday, Nov 18^th at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery at 225 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ 07936.
