Cade was one of my closest friends growing up in New Orleans. Her younger sisters were the same ages as my sisters and we were all friends. I have many memories of sleepovers, birthday parties, picnics and outings with Cade and her family. When her family went on vacation to Florida they even brought me with them. After she moved to New Jersey she always called when back in N.O. for a visit and we would have lunch together. She was a loyal friend, gentle, kind, gracious and always smiling. It is so hard to believe she is gone. My thoughts and prayers are with all of her family.

Fond memories of growing up with Cade.Our families grew up together in New Orleans on Henry Clay. Spending many Thoth Parade Mardi Gras days at the family’s home it was always an adventure. Condolences to the family.

It is hard to think of our world without Cade. I remember still the first time I met her. I had just started dating her brother Carl, my husband, and I was just meeting the family. She was so gracious and welcoming and made me feel comfortable in a new and intimidating situation. That is so characteristic of Cade. She lit up a room but made everyone at ease. Beautiful, brilliant, and filled with energy. She was an amazing sister to her siblings, a wife who made Rick proud, and and a terrific Mom and Grandmother. I will miss her deeply.

Beautiful, smart, thoughtful, loving, witty Cade may have cautioned her siblings, "If you don't tell, they won't know"; however, she was always ready to share her thoughts. Yes, even at the age of 2 1/2. When Aunt Didi and Uncle Al arrived for a visit and she greeted them at the front door, looked up at Uncle Al and his beautiful, big brown eyes and dark, thick eyebrows, she quickly turned and said, "He does look like an owl." Just one of so many spectacular memories to be cherished.

Cade was a caring older sister with a knack for figuring out what we needed. I remember one Saturday when I was 7 to 8 years old and home sick with a fever and supposed to stay inside. Cade walked me to the Audubon Zoo to see the elephants and bought me a snowball which cooled my fever and made me very happy. I don’t think we got caught.
