Rudy was my buddy. We shared a passion, the Brooklyn Dodgers ⚾️ No one that I have met writes with such energy and enthusiasm for a subject that he loves. His memory will live on.. as nobody embraced and described the by-gone era better than my buddy Rudy Love ya pal Rick ⚾️⚾️

Rudy became a close friend and colleague when I came to AT&T in 1974. We shared many of the same interests in music and sports. But not so much in movies. At work Rudy was proudly known as Dr. Yesterday because he insisted no good movies were made after the 1950s. We shared a love of Stan Kenton music. Jan and I became fast friends with Rudy and Betty and spent many fun times on their porch in Maplewood. One vivid memory I have is Rudy’s account of returning from WW II through San Francisco to the strains of the song My Shining Hour. Every time I hear that song I think of Rudy. He had a full and fruitful life. Glad we could share it with him. Dave and Jan Sullivan
