Obituary of Marie E. Loughlin

Marie E. Loughlin, age 98, passed away on January 25, 2024 at home in Tinton Falls.

Visitations will be Wednesday, January 31^st from 9:45-10:30am at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Avenue, Maplewood.

The Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Avenue, Short Hills. Burial will be in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery.

Ms. Loughlin was born in East Orange, and lived in Springfield before moving to Tinton Falls 17 years ago. She was employed by the US Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Service in Newark for over 36 years.

She retired in 1980 as the Executive Secretary to the Deputy District Director.

Marie was devoted to her Catholic faith and took comfort in saying the rosary daily with a small group of friends. She loved to travel internationally with

her brother John and their close friends. Watching her beloved Yankees and professional tennis were her favorite pastimes. 

She was predeceased by her brother, John P Loughlin Jr and is survived by relatives Thomas A Loughlin Jr, Jane Loughlin Fischer, Patricia Loughlin Perry and Agnes Loughlin.
